Selling Your MusicDMGI - Site ReviewDMGI is a company that is set up to help independent artists and music content holders get their music out to the likes of itunes, napster etc.
Their pricing/royalty price settings aren't presented on their web site and you have to contact them to obtain this information. They do not charge a set up fee.
Payments are made by cheque, quarterly. The royalty payments must exceed $25.00 for the artist to get paid. If they don't exceed $25.00, the payments are carried over to the next period.
From the day of submission to your music actually going live takes between 1 and a half to 3 and a half months. 45 days to go through their system and 2 weeks to 2 months for it to go live on the respective stores.
They only distribute to online stores that employ digital rights management (DRM). The agreement with DMGI is considered exclusive to help prevent duplicates of your songs appearing in stores. The relationship with them only involves digital distribution and not CDs.
Each song within a catalog will have a 30 second preview available at each store.
