Selling Your Music

Indiecentric - Site Review

Indiecentric is an online store and community hub intended for the makers and fans of independent music.

They only sell music from Independent and emerging artists and do not do major labels.

In order to sell your music on their site you fill out the registration form and send 6 cdfs. They create your custom Indiecentric artist page and add your cdfs to the store. They handle all orders, ship the products and handle customer service. When the inventory of the CD gets low, they will send you an email to let you know that you need to send them more.

It costs you nothing but the price of shipping us your CDfs.
Indiecentric takes $4.00/CD, $.40/mp3 single, and 40% of merchandise sold. You set the price. If you set your CD price to $12.00, you get $8.00/CD, if you set the price to $10.00, you get $6.00/CD.

The site makes payments once a month, but you decide how often and at what point you will be paid (must be over $20).

They have their own label if you don't have your own CD. They will also create your artist page and add your CD to their catalogue. When a customer orders your CD they will create it for them.

Their are no digital rights management restrictions put on the MP3 that are downloaded from the site.
