For those that aren't so serious, Soundmetro offers a free service for artists to upload their music to the site.
The free service allows you 25 megs at 160kbps bitrate.

For artists and bands that are more serious about selling their music, you can upgrade to the Tier 2 membership.
The tier 2 membership, which costs $U.S.50/year, allows 250 megs and 320kbps bitrate with a customized web site and a host of other features such as video streaming capability, gig calendar and the ability to sell your music on the site.
